O God, who granted Saint Charbel, guardian of
silence in the hidden life, to be illumined by the
light of truth so as to contemplate the depths of
your love, grant to us, who follow his example,
the grace to confront in the desert of this world
the good fight of faith and to walk with joy in the
footsteps of Christ your Son.

This your servant, who lived in the secrecy of
prayer and overcame temptations with the weap-
ons of penance, may he reveal to us the greatness
of your mercy, teach us the silence that guards
our speech, and show us the power of deeds ca-
pable of opening the human heart.

Through Christ Jesus, Conqueror of sin and death,
may he obtain for us health of body and spirit and
ever intercede on our behalf, that we may come
to share with the Saints in your eternal Kingdom.
To you be glory and praise, Father, Son, and
Holy Spirit. Amen.
